How to be, or not to be

In the midst of the Covid pandemic risk and reward of choices are heightened and what might be normally fairly prosaic activities now take on a new dimension.
Top row - Going out. In this grouping the shadows have morphed into dark discordant frames that surround and threaten four usually pleasurable activities.
Lower row - Staying home. A horizontal row of four images, in warm muted tones, show the corner of a kitchen. Subtle overlays on each hint at daydreams rather than actual outings.
Self-actualization and self-preservation are two faces of the urge to live that pulse through all our days. How to thrive when the pressure is on?
During a pandemic, should we stay at home, safe and snug watching shadows move across the kitchen wall; or should we participate more fully and choose to risk it? How to be, or not to be?
